PRESIDENTS MESSAGE:

 

 

 

The Turners Board of Directors would like to congratulate all of the deserving volunteers that were recognized at last months “2007 Awards Banquet”. This special night’s big winners were:

I would also like to thank Ed “ McMahon” Innis for agreeing to host this enjoyable evening.

 

Mark Guitard has volunteered to chair the nominating committee for this year’s election. If you are interested in giving him a hand in any way please get in touch with him.

 

Spring will be here before you know it and we’ll be busy with softball, golf and outdoor volleyball. If you have questions concerning any of these events please get in touch with the event chair person or talk to me and I’ll help in anyway I can.

 

We’re currently looking for volunteers to assist with the planning of this years William Whetstone/Mark Fore Softball Tournament. Please see me if you are interested.

CONSTITUTION & BY LAWS MEETING COMPLETED

 

Thanks to the dedicated members who served on the Constitution & By Laws Committee. This committee worked almost 2 years making suggested revisions, corrections, deletions and changes to the Constitution & By Laws. All suggestions and ideas were thoroughly investigated and included if they would improve the operation of our club.

 

I would like to thank this committee for their dedicated efforts and hope the membership will benefit from their efforts.

DEADLINE FOR NEWSLETTER: The deadline for the Turner Newsletter is Board Meeting night (third Tuesday of the month).   It is our aim to get each month’s newsletter to our membership by the first of the month. Please adhere to this deadline and make the job of doing the newsletter easier.

Newsletter

Please submit articles for Newsletter on the form we have provided. Scraps of paper and napkins are too easily lost or overlooked. If you submit a full page schedule, results or notices; please do not mark on the back side (we can print a full page and do not need to retype). Want to use club facilities, dinning room, gym, pavilion or softball diamonds; whether it be for a Society function (N/C) or for personal rental (set charges). The dining room is available at no charge to only Turner members for a Funeral dinner for their immediate family (spouse, mother, father, grandparents and children). The District Convention will be hosted by River City Turner, Louisville, KY – March 15, 2008.

 

Directions and convention information are posted on the club bulletin board.

 

If you plan to attend, please let me know, so I can send your name into The River City committee for their information in preparing for the meeting and meals.
