PRESIDENTS
MESSAGE:
Spring is just around the corner and many of our fall and winter
activities have come to an end. I would like to thank: Sarah Keller and
the hard working fish fry crews, Rod Johnson and John Mickelini and all
of the volunteers that helped with another successful youth basketball
season, Mike
Hohman and all of his helpers that make Saturday mornings enjoyable for
all of our youth bowlers, Michelle Schmidt for all of her efforts with
womens volleyball.
Some of you may not realize that your club was a victim of the flooding
that crippled parts of our city last month. Thanks to the hard work of
Tim Reed and all of his volunteers the damage was minimal.
It was brought to the attention of the board that the language in the
bar area has become unacceptable. This is a family club, please conduct
yourselves appropriately. Please contact Mark Guitard with nominations for the upcoming
election.
I was working in Syracuse, New York in early March and paid a visit to
Syracuse Turners. I could only hope that we would make an out of town
stranger as welcome as they made me.
See you at the club
Jim Markland
