PRESIDENTS MESSAGE:

I would like to thank the 100+ members that were in attendance at the special meeting that was held on April 15. At this meeting the general membership approved the sourcing of finances to begin phases 1 and 2 of the ever important renovations to our facility. Phase 1 calls for the remodeling of the kitchen storage area and converting the auxiliary room into our new bar.  Phase 2 calls for the reconstruction of the downstairs to bring it back to a useable space.

Joleen Burns will be he chairperson in charge of this very important project. If you have a specific skill or your employer would like to help in some way please contact her at 749-1731. You can also send a monetary donation directly to the club to the attention of Dori Hartman.

I’m confident that the bowlers that traveled to Syracuse for National Bowling had a wonderful time and represented our club in a way that we all would be proud of.

In this time of need we’re always looking for new money making adventures. If anyone has an idea please see a board member.

I’m STILL looking for volunteers to help with this year’s William Whetstone Memorial Softball Tournament. It’s not very often we have 1000+ visitors come to our facility. We really need to take advantage of this crowd. Please see me if you are interested.

Our largest fund raiser of the year, Germanfest, is right around the corner. If you haven’t signed up to work yet please do so. The sign up sheets are posted at the club.

Please, now is the time to MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

See you at the club

 Jim Markland

Any member that has a special skill in building, plumbing, electrical and would like to volunteer to help rebuild, please call one of the board members!! There numbers are on the front page of the Newsletter
